On a few cases, ITV have cut away from the race or qualifying just as something big has happened - that, or something big has happened whilst the adverts have been on. Hopefully, this will see things back at they should be. As long as they don't interrupt the coverage with whatever rugby/football/blah is going on, it'll all be fine. I wonder if they'll poach the commentators from ITV? Everyone apart from James Allen, that is.

I don't remember them cutting away from the F1 to go to the football or whatever when it used to be on the BBC before so I would think you are safe...

Also, when it moved to ITV most of the BBC team (at least from a viewer's perspective - no idea behind the scenes) seemed to move over to ITV so there's probably a good chance that will happen again I would guess...

They do cut away from the F1 to go to some irrelevant sport or other - often golf - on Radio 5.

ITV now has streaming on the website so you can carry on watching in the adverts (as well as f1.com's live timing of course).

But BBC claim they will have it on their website too, so let's hope it will cover at least as much (including televising Friday practise, as ITV do online).

BBC still have Murray - he did a Radio 5 commentary last year and we had the TV sound off for that one! I cannot STAND Martin Brundle so let's hope he leaves. He is so McLaren / DC biased. That said, he came over from BBC so maybe he will go back. Let's hope not.

I don't think it's that he's Mclaren/DC biased, more that he's biased towards all British drivers. He also seems very fond of Button as well, if you think about it. Granted, not as much as LH and DC, but he's definitely still on his radar.

James Allen is definitely someone who annoys me. I'd need no time to consider who I'd bring across to the BBC.

I don't notice him interviewing Button as often. It's all "my previous team" and "the driver I manage" - i.e. "my mates".

You know that he will always have either a McLaren driver or prominent team member, or DC, lined up to talk to him on the grid walk, for example.

Me again, sorry.

The Times quotes Bernie as saying the BBC offered a "fresh face" and rumour is it's Hamster: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/formula_1/article3593917.ece

Would be FAB if it was, although I have visions of "HAMILTON IS A DRIVING GOD!" and "Can I have a box please? I can't see out of the window".
